Moving on
We don't have a fold here, so I can't move something "below the fold" even if I wanted to.
But in the interest of not piling on, I am going to throw up this meaningless post here, effectively moving our last story out of the spotlight. I received a nice note from the Dallas editor involved and he/she assured me that all the cuts were made in the interest of space constraints. This person also said that the paragraph that was edited out in toto was done without regard for religious content. (That I, the least religious Jew in America--the one who really did fudge my haftorah portion--should be writing this is surreal.)
We will take this person at his/her word and leave it at that. While it's neat to log onto one's site and see 93 active readers, something we don't normally have, I don't want to milk this for more than it's worth.
Coming up on The Dark Slide:
The wedding of Tara Colton and Jed Teres. As Tara is the daughter of longtime friend and USA Today editor David Colton, we'll have plenty of more opportunity to discuss the intersection of wedding photography and newspapers. (It's the first time that I, as wedding photographer, have ever been announced to the guests by the father of the bride.)
We're also going to have some pictures from the wedding of Justin Bonner and Marta Kalabinski from this past Saturday.
Also on deck is a little story about bad service. And by bad service, I'm talking the kind we just got at our favorite Chinese restaurant down the block and the kind I get from my iPhone 3G, the world's most amazing terrible phone ever.
And last but not least, we're going to be announcing a limited edition set of prints soon, to celebrate our upcoming exhibition in Paris.
Okay, did that take up enough space? Good.
Matt
